Everyone knows that stress is a killer. And while we’re bombarded with an amazing new stress-busting trick seemingly every day, there are a couple of tried and true methods to generally feeling better – drink more water, do more exercise, and get more sleep. We’ll leave the first two to the nutrition and fitness experts, but we can help with the third: buying the right mattress is an investment in a good night sleep and overall health. For many, it’s easy to miss out on exercise, as we often don’t have enough time. But the fact is that a third of our lives are spent sleeping, so if there’s one thing we do have time for, it’s rest. A good mattress can provide a restful sleep, helping to eliminate tossing and turning. This in turn allows us to feel rejuvenated when we awaken. In terms of overall, or holistic health, a good mattress can also lower stress levels by reducing back pain and other physical discomfort. Paying for a quality, comfortable mattress is a personal choice. But because we do spend so much time with it, a good mattress seems like a no-brainer – the best piece of ‘equipment’ we can invest in to promote complete health. The Brittany Fields King bed pictured at top and the Marshall King mattress pictured above are both new to Decorium. This month’s expert advice is provided by Decorium Design Consultant Renata Biala.
