We at Decorium pride ourselves on working with you to create a beautiful environment from your eyes down to eyes up! To keep everything in perspective of importance, try this little exercise:

Enter a new space. Think about where your eyes are travelling in the first few seconds. You may notice your eyes hit the floor first! This establishes what is called “safe passage,” which takes about 20% of your attention. Then, your eyes focus upward to look at furnishings and see everything at eye level, which takes about 60% of your attention. And finally, you really look up, to take in the ceilings and lighting fixtures, which takes the last 20%.

Anytime you enter a new space, try this exercise! You may find it’s wonderfully helpful and rather hard to resist 😊
